During our four-semester master's program with dietetic internship (MSDI), you'll benefit from personalized mentorship by seasoned professionals while gaining practical experience through specialized training. This prepares you for diverse career paths in dietetics, such as clinical nutrition, community initiatives, and food service administration.
Our Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics provides one-on-one guidance from committed faculty and preceptors. Through a combination of academic study and practical training, students enhance their core competencies. The curriculum teaches students to assess patients' nutritional needs, create customized nutrition plans, measure the effectiveness of dietary interventions, and deliver nutrition education to both individuals and communities. Participants cultivate advanced analytical abilities to evaluate research and implement evidence-based practices. Additionally, the program covers food service operations management and the wider food systems landscape relevant to dietetics professionals.
Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA which must be maintained throughout the first year of the program. To be considered for admission, students applying for the MSDI program will need to have received a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) verification statement from an accredited undergraduate dietetics program that meets the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
