The Master of Science program in natural resources, specializing in environmental economics, equips you with economic theory and analytical skills to advance sustainability and conserve natural resources through policy and management. Whether your focus is agriculture, regional development, land and water conservation, or broader environmental economics, our curriculum readies you for professional roles in both government and industry, as well as advanced academic pursuits. Career paths span community organizations, financial firms, regulatory agencies, environmental consultancies, and urban planning entities.
Applicants typically hold a bachelor's degree in economics or environmental/agricultural economics. Prerequisites include intermediate microeconomics, econometrics, and calculus coursework. Research concentrations cover agricultural economics, regional development, land use economics, water resource economics, and environmental economics.
International applicants must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as a precondition for applying to any of our graduate programs. In some cases, you may also need a master’s degree or its equivalent.

Minimum score requirements are as follows: TOEFL (Computer-based): 213; TOEFL (Internet-based): 80; IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5; TOEFL ITP (Institution Administered): On case-by-case basis; TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication): On case-by-case basis; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59.
Applications must be completed by the following deadlines in order to be reviewed for admission: Fall: February 15; Spring: December 1.
