UNH's sport management and leadership program equips students for thriving careers in athletics by combining rigorous academic coursework with hands-on industry experience. Our curriculum builds on examining and synthesizing the cultural and contextual aspects of sports, laying the groundwork for careers in scholastic, collegiate, and professional sports - spanning marketing, event coordination, coaching, administration, media, and communications. The program also provides excellent preparation for advanced studies in sports business, law, or psychology.
As a UNH sport management student, you can specialize in one of three tracks: sports marketing/event coordination, coaching/administration, or sports media/communications. Through industry internships, you'll acquire real-world skills and build valuable professional networks. Career opportunities in sports are expanding quickly alongside growing participation at high school, collegiate, and professional levels. The program requires students to complete a complementary minor, cognate, or dual major to develop well-rounded expertise and essential skills for entering sports-related professions.
