This program is designed for students passionate about honing their problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on creating computationally efficient solutions. Grounded in core principles, participants acquire the expertise needed to confidently navigate this dynamic discipline. Building on a robust background in science and math, students cultivate advanced analytical skills and abstract reasoning, with numerous opportunities for practical experience through software development in lab settings. Program alumni often pursue graduate studies or embark on diverse professional careers.
Participants gain exclusive access to the UNH InterOperability Lab, collaborating with leading technology firms to evaluate cutting-edge equipment prior to commercial release. The computer science department actively promotes research involvement through capstone initiatives and self-directed studies. Numerous UNH student groups align perfectly with computer science interests, including the Cyber Security Club, Linux Club, and Wildcat Women in Computer Science. Additionally, the Programming Assistance Center provides readily available tutoring and technical support.
Each student must have their official high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
English Language Score:
Minimum TOEFL score is 80 (internet version), 550 (paper version), 213 (computer version); recommended minimum IELTS score is 6.5; recommend Duolingo score is 105 or higher.
