The bioengineering specialization focuses on applying fundamental biological sciences and chemical engineering concepts to develop and manage large-scale bioprocessing systems for creating valuable medical products, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, biomedical solutions, genetic engineering outputs, and healthcare items. Each student must have their official high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
