The women's and gender studies program invites you to investigate fundamental questions surrounding gender norms, identity, and equity while analyzing women's varied experiences across different cultures and time periods. You'll examine how gender intersects with diverse subjects from digital entertainment and athletics to inclusion efforts and social movements. This multidisciplinary curriculum incorporates perspectives from fields like sociology, historical studies, and contemporary media. As a close-knit department within the College of Liberal Arts, we foster a supportive environment where students can actively engage in social justice initiatives, including hands-on internships with progressive organizations both locally and nationally.
