Through UNH's theatre degree program with a dance focus, you'll equip yourself for a thriving career both onstage and behind the scenes. The curriculum covers dance history, composition, choreography, and performance, with training in jazz, ballet, tap, and aerial techniques. Graduates pursue careers as performers, choreographers, or dance educators.
This dance specialization provides a comprehensive curriculum tailored to develop the essential skills for aspiring dance professionals. Core technique classes include ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and aerial arts, while theoretical studies encompass dance history, composition, choreography, and teaching methods. Students also gain practical experience in theatrical production. Performance opportunities range from annual faculty-led concerts to student-produced showcases each term, allowing dancers to specialize in specific styles or explore multiple disciplines.
Each student must have their official high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
English Language Score:
Minimum TOEFL score is 80 (internet version), 550 (paper version), 213 (computer version); recommended minimum IELTS score is 6.5; recommend Duolingo score is 105 or higher.
