Our B.A. program is perfect for students seeking comprehensive knowledge in contemporary agricultural and food systems, with opportunities to explore diverse subjects or combine degrees. Students tailor their studies by selecting focus areas such as agroecology, horticulture, livestock management, food policy, or agribusiness. Many gain practical experience through innovative research at our advanced facilities, which include dairy farms, crop fields, greenhouses, and a brewing science lab.
The Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems B.A. equips students with extensive understanding of today's agricultural and food landscapes. This multidisciplinary field spans social, physical, and life sciences, addressing pressing global needs like sustainable food production amid growing populations and limited natural resources.
Students engage in hands-on learning through applied courses and faculty-led research. Graduates pursue diverse paths as agricultural entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, lab technicians, or educators, while others advance to graduate studies in agricultural sciences.
Each student must have their official high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
