Spanish ranks as the world's second most widely spoken language and serves as the United States' second most common language. This degree program helps you achieve Spanish fluency while fostering an understanding of linguistics, Spanish literature, and the civilizations and cultures of Spain and Latin America. Graduates will be equipped to thrive in global environments where Spanish plays a vital role in both personal and professional contexts. Numerous program participants pursue combined majors with disciplines like business administration, linguistics, social work, or international relations.
The Spanish program at UNH features exceptional study abroad options in Granada, Spain, and Costa Rica. Students can further enrich their education through our Latin American studies minor. During the school year, various extracurricular activities provide valuable opportunities to supplement classroom learning.
Each student must have their official high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
English Language Score:
Minimum TOEFL score is 80 (internet version), 550 (paper version), 213 (computer version); recommended minimum IELTS score is 6.5; recommend Duolingo score is 105 or higher.
Application Deadlines - Early Action (Fall) - November 15; Regular Decision (Fall) - February 1; Regular Decision (Spring) - October 15.
