This program equips you to teach English at middle or high school levels. You'll explore English literature and grammar, human growth and learning, educational systems, and teaching methods. During your senior year, you can pursue an additional year of study and internship to meet New Hampshire's teacher certification standards. The path to becoming an educator involves finishing a master's program in Education and applying for New Hampshire teaching credentials. Those enrolled will take graduate-level courses and participate in a yearlong teaching internship, working alongside experienced educators to implement their skills in real classrooms. With New Hampshire certification, you'll also meet qualifications to teach in numerous other states. Diverse local initiatives provide inspiring opportunities to engage in ESL instruction, K-12 education, and writing programs.
