The educational studies: equity, diversity and inclusion program prepares future elementary educators dedicated to creating positive change. This four-year teacher preparation curriculum examines the foundations of education within democratic societies while addressing systemic inequalities in school systems. You'll investigate how educational institutions function and their connections to wider societal contexts marked by uneven access to learning resources. Program completers qualify for New Hampshire teaching credentials in Elementary Education with an additional endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Our research-intensive institution prioritizes experiential learning through faculty-mentored projects, equipping students with practical skills applicable in educational settings and beyond. The Education Department emphasizes community involvement, fostering partnerships with local schools and global organizations. Various initiatives support neighboring areas through literacy enhancement, ESOL programs, and specialized educational services. This undergraduate pathway also offers seamless transition into graduate studies, enabling pursuit of either a Master of Arts in Teaching or Master of Education degree.
