The Latin and Latin Teaching degree program immerses students in the study of Latin language alongside Roman civilization, culture, and mythology. This curriculum prepares graduates for Latin instruction at the secondary school level. Students can complete an additional internship year through UNH's Education Department to fulfill teaching certification requirements for New Hampshire and numerous other states. The Latin and Latin Teaching (LLT) track offers a comprehensive liberal arts education focused on Latin and classical Roman studies, while incorporating specialized components tailored for aspiring Latin educators. While this program doesn't grant immediate state certification, students can achieve this through a fifth year of study in the Education Department.
