The Chemistry Department provides doctoral programs leading to a Ph.D. in Chemistry, as well as a distinct Ph.D. in Chemical Physics offered in collaboration with the Physics Department. All chemistry Ph.D. candidates must fulfill the Graduate School's standard requirements.
Upon graduation, students will:
excel professionally by demonstrating problem-solving skills in chemistry and related fields, along with generating innovative concepts.
adapt to diverse work settings through teamwork, independent work, leadership, mentoring, and effective scientific communication to both specialists and the general public.
exhibit professional integrity through ethical conduct, ongoing education, professional engagement, and dedication to environmental safety.
For admission to the Ph.D. program, a B.S. in Chemistry or in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
Minimum score requirements: TOEFL: 550 (paper) or 80 (internet), IELTS: 7.0 (academic version).
