With extensive knowledge of cellular structures, experts in Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) are at the forefront of combating widespread diseases and health challenges.
The Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) track forms part of the interdisciplinary Molecular Biosciences graduate program. Our curriculum leads to both Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, equipping students for roles in biological research, biomedical industries, and academic instruction.
Earning a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology and Physiology provides outstanding qualifications for advanced positions in biomedical research, as well as in biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Program alumni may also pursue teaching opportunities at collegiate institutions.
The Molecular Biosciences Graduate Program at our university, which includes the CMB doctoral track, represents a collaborative initiative drawing faculty expertise from across campus. Over 60 professors from nine departments contribute to this program. It fosters a nurturing academic community for more than 100 graduate students, offering exceptional research opportunities across diverse biological and biomedical fields such as: Modern biophysics, Oncology, Cellular studies, Biochemical research
Immune system science, Arthropod biochemistry, Microbial studies, Drug development, Botanical sciences
Application Deadlines: Dec 15 (Fall) | June 15 (Spring)
