The undergraduate psychology program in behavioral science aims to cultivate proficient behavior analysts who address community needs while advancing the field through research and practice. This goal is accomplished by delivering thorough instruction in behavioral science, fostering potential for deeper exploration in fundamental, practical, and theoretical areas. The program also equips students for postgraduate education or paraprofessional roles in human services.
Behavior analysis represents a unique academic discipline not replicated in other university departments. The behavioral science program qualifies students for Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification, a globally recognized paraprofessional designation. Additionally, the coursework adheres to the undergraduate accreditation criteria set by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
Graduates will develop the ability to:

recognize psychology's impact on human experiences and critically evaluate how psychological principles apply to everyday life.
communicate effectively through both writing and speech.
appreciate, acknowledge, and comprehend diverse community perspectives.
