The Bachelor of Science program establishes core scientific principles. Those aiming for direct entry into scientific or technical fields, or planning advanced physics studies, should consider taking suggested upper-level courses as optional subjects.
Graduates will develop the ability to:
show fundamental comprehension of key principles in both classical and contemporary physics.
effectively present and discuss findings from experimental and theoretical studies.
apply suitable quantitative and analytical techniques.
To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
