The bachelor's degree program equips high school graduates with the skills to earn a nursing baccalaureate degree. This program serves as the foundational training for professional nursing careers and leadership roles. Graduates become eligible for nursing positions in hospitals, public health organizations, schools, and other healthcare facilities. Additionally, they may qualify for military officer commissions or pursue advanced graduate studies. The four-semester program accepts students during both spring and fall enrollment periods.

This baccalaureate program holds approval from the Nevada State Board of Nursing and accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Students will develop the ability to:

Qualification Requirements

To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.

Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
