The College of Liberal Arts and Political Science Department provide high-achieving undergraduates with an expedited route to earning an MA or MPA degree. These combined BA/MA and BA/MPA programs feature an intensive curriculum enabling students to finish 108 undergraduate credits plus 30-36 graduate credits (with at least 15 at the 700 level or above) within five years. Graduate-level coursework begins during students' fourth year. Participants fulfill all undergraduate requirements before officially transitioning to graduate status. The program concludes with either a thesis or non-thesis MA/MPA, ideal for careers in public service, administration, NGOs, or doctoral studies. It highlights interdisciplinary social science approaches and equips students with essential analytical skills for this field.

Qualification Requirements
To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school (GED certificate may not be used for admission) and satisfy the below requirements:
You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno. The academic courses include: English, math, social sciences and natural sciences. A weighted GPA takes into account the extra difficulty of honors, AP or IB classes.
You must submit your final, official high school transcripts to support your application for admission.
SAT/ACT scores: We do not require SAT or ACT scores for admission or scholarship consideration
