The Bachelor of Arts in Economics program equips students for careers as economic and statistical analysts across business, government, and nonprofit sectors, as well as for teaching roles. It also establishes a solid groundwork for advanced studies in economics, business, public policy, and law. Many students pursuing this degree opt to combine it with another major.
The College's economics program readies students for analytical roles in various sectors and teaching positions, while also serving as excellent preparation for graduate-level economics, business, policy, and legal studies.
Program objectives
Graduates with an economics bachelor's degree will gain the ability to:

To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
