The MS in Management Information Systems holds STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) designation from the Department of Education and is recognized by the Department of Homeland Security. International graduates from U.S. institutions can stay for 12 months of work-based training under the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program. Qualification Requirements
Submission of official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
Evidence of having been awarded the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with an overall undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.00 on the four-point scale,
For MIS applicants who previously attended a post-secondary institution outside of the U.S., the requirement that transcripts be evaluated by an outside agency is waived.
Transcripts - One transcript from every post-secondary institution the applicant has attended (regardless of whether a degree or credential was earned), showing all coursework, extension and correspondence work, any degrees earned, and the dates that those degrees were awarded. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted as part of the application process. However, if an applicant is admitted, official transcripts will be required by the date specified on the Certificate of Admission. Transfer credits posted on another institution's transcript will not be accepted in lieu of the transcript itself. Only transcripts sent directly from the institution are considered official. Failure to disclose all coursework and/or degrees awarded will result in rescission of admission.
