The Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering (M.S.B.E.) program aims to equip students with advanced training for pursuing design and research careers in biomedical engineering. This interdisciplinary program combines principles from engineering, life sciences, and medicine. Key objectives include: 1) establishing a strong foundation in biological sciences, 2) achieving proficiency in engineering methodologies, 3) gaining expertise in collecting and analyzing biological system measurements, 4) developing modeling capabilities, and 5) cultivating problem-solving skills for medically significant challenges, including creating health-enhancing devices, systems, and processes.

Qualification Requirements

The applicant must have a regionally accredited bachelor's degree in related STEM fields.
The graduate program committee will examine the applicant's academic record and will make the final determination of the applicant's admissibility to the M.S. program. In general, a minimum post baccalaureate GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent is preferred for admission.
Bachelor's Degree - You must hold a four-year baccalaureate from a regionally accredited institution or an approved equivalent.

Transcripts - One transcript from every post-secondary institution the applicant has attended (regardless of whether a degree or credential was earned), showing all coursework, extension and correspondence work, any degrees earned, and the dates that those degrees were awarded. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted as part of the application process. However, if an applicant is admitted, official transcripts will be required by the date specified on the Certificate of Admission. Transfer credits posted on another institution's transcript will not be accepted in lieu of the transcript itself. Only transcripts sent directly from the institution are considered official. Failure to disclose all coursework and/or degrees awarded will result in rescission of admission.
