The Doctor of Education in Executive Educational Leadership program cultivates forward-thinking strategies and creative approaches to address both present and emerging challenges in education, while enhancing the expertise of mid-career school administrators for leadership roles. This curriculum employs a problem-centered learning model featuring intensive weekend seminars during the academic year and week-long summer sessions, concentrating on formulating sophisticated solutions to authentic workplace challenges. The program fosters collaborative dialogue between learners and instructors to shape the specific focus areas and practical issues explored within each thematic framework. Requiring at least 60 credit hours post-master's degree (including 12 dissertation credits), the coursework aligns with National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) Standards. Participants must complete an externship with an external school district or educational institution, along with a policy-focused seminar in Washington, D.C.
