The Department of Teaching & Learning focuses on equipping students to become outstanding Secondary educators. Graduates of this program will obtain a bachelor's degree and receive Nevada state certification for teaching grades 6-12. Individuals holding existing degrees who wish to transition into Secondary education can pursue coursework through the teacher certification program. All UNLV Secondary Education degree candidates must fulfill First Teaching Field requirements, with Second Teaching Fields available as electives.
