The Hospitality Management Major provides a comprehensive education for careers in the hospitality sector. Its diverse curriculum equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel across various industry segments upon completing their studies. Beyond fulfilling general university requirements, students enroll in specialized courses covering hospitality fundamentals, HR management, organizational behavior, facilities operations, hospitality legislation, and leadership/ethics training. The program also includes instruction in food safety, food service management, cost analysis, career planning, accounting principles, financial strategies, service excellence, and strategic operations.
With 22 elective credits available, learners can tailor their academic journey by choosing subjects aligned with their professional aspirations. While optional, students may opt to specialize by directing their electives toward a particular field of interest. The curriculum culminates with an internship, two advanced capstone courses that apply management and leadership competencies, and hands-on industry experience. The gaming specialization aims to develop management expertise specific to casino operations and related fields.
