The Art Department provides students with visual arts training as a key component of a well-rounded education. UNLV's BFA program requires an extra year of study, allowing students to concentrate more deeply on honing their creative abilities and technical proficiency. Entry into the BFA program is determined through portfolio evaluation.
BFA candidates focusing on sculpture at UNLV deepen their knowledge of materials, techniques, and conceptual development, establishing a lasting studio methodology. The program fosters experimental approaches and creative exploration while helping students position their work within both historical and current sculptural contexts.
