The Department of Teaching & Learning focuses on equipping students to become outstanding Secondary educators. Graduates of this program will obtain a bachelor's degree and receive Nevada state certification for grades 7-12. Those holding existing degrees who wish to teach at the Secondary level can enroll in the teacher certification coursework. All UNLV Secondary Education degree candidates must fulfill First Teaching Field requirements, with Second Teaching Fields available as electives.
