The artificial intelligence specialization offers students comprehensive knowledge of the core concepts and technologies that enable machines to exhibit human-like cognitive functions. Participants in this program will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience across various AI domains, including intelligent software agents, collaborative multi-agent and robotic systems, computer vision and image analysis, neural network-driven adaptive systems, heuristic and stochastic optimization for strategic decision-making, as well as machine learning and knowledge engineering methods for developing intelligent computing solutions.
Graduates of this program will acquire the following competencies:
Develop foundational computational solutions. Understand computer systems and their implementation.
Analyze computing's widespread societal impact, encompassing security, privacy, and ethical implications.
Utilize effective teaching methodologies for computer science instruction.

Qualification Requirements

The minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) requirement for the MS in computer science program is 3.0 or equivalent score on a 4.0 scale. Applicants should have the equivalent of a four-year undergraduate degree.
Entrance Exam: The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required. Submit GRE results not older than five years. Successful applicants have typically had GRE scores of 150 verbal and 160 quantitative or better.
GRE is waived for applicants with a bachelor of science in computer science or computer engineering from a regionally accredited institution in the United States.
English Language Proficiency: Applicants are required to have a command of oral and written English. Those who do not hold a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from the United States, OR a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from a predetermined country on the waiver list, must meet the minimum language proficiency score requirement in order to be considered for admission.
