The Degree Program in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences equips students for careers in both private and public sectors, advanced academic pursuits, and scientific investigation. Professionals possessing these versatile skills will remain in constant demand to address society's multifaceted challenges.
Mathematics majors can select between two pathways: the Concentration track or the Non-Concentration track. Non-Concentration students customize their upper-level coursework, whereas Concentration students follow a department-designed curriculum tailored to their specialization. Available concentrations include Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Mathematics Education, Pre-Actuarial Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computational Mathematics, and Pure Mathematics. Students may pursue one or multiple concentrations.
