The Department of Electrical Engineering provides two graduate degree options: a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy. Current research focuses span multiple disciplines including biomedical engineering, wireless and digital communications, VLSI and digital design, signal processing, electro-optics, thin-film measurement techniques, mixed-signal circuits, nanoscale technology, optical properties of nanomaterials, plasma applications, energy systems, remote sensing and electromagnetic fields, as well as semiconductor devices and materials. These initiatives receive financial support from diverse sources including federal, state, and private organizations, with yearly research funding surpassing $2 million.
