The English Department provides Master of Arts and Doctoral programs specializing in literary studies, creative writing, and composition/rhetoric. Applicants holding a Bachelor's degree can pursue either the M.A. or enter directly into the Ph.D. program. Those with an M.A. or M.F.A. may apply for doctoral studies. Our graduate curriculum covers all these disciplines, with additional options to specialize in ethnic studies, Great Plains research, human rights and humanitarian issues, 19th century scholarship, and women's/gender studies. The department also offers certification programs in Digital Humanities and Writing Instruction.
