The digital humanities represent a cross-disciplinary area employing state-of-the-art technology, sophisticated computing, and community interaction (particularly through social platforms) to explore humanities topics and influence modern culture. At UNL, the Graduate Certificate Program in Digital Humanities enables both graduate students and post-baccalaureate learners to earn academic recognition in this field while experiencing various avenues to understand this dynamic and fast-growing discipline. Participants may also contribute to ongoing and emerging faculty initiatives while applying creative digital approaches to address their individual research inquiries.

Three Letters of Recommendation English Proficiency: Applicants to the Office of Graduate Studies whose native language is not English are required to submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band score of at least 6.5.
