The Geography program within the College of Arts and Sciences provides both MA and PhD degree options. Key research areas include Historical Geography, Human-Environment relationships, and Remote Sensing technologies. The Great Plains region serves as a longstanding regional emphasis. The program fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, maintaining strong partnerships with the School of Natural Resources (particularly CALMIT - the Center for Advanced Land Management Technologies), Community and Regional Planning, and the Center for Great Plains Studies.
