Students choose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Institute for Ethnic Studies for our degree programs and graduate concentrations because we provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education that takes a comparative approach to race and ethnicity, including global perspectives. Whether concentrating on African/African American studies, Latina/o and Latin American studies, or Native American studies, our students collaborate with distinguished faculty on meaningful research and maintain lasting relationships with professors during and after their academic journey. They pursue their intellectual interests within a collaborative environment featuring seminars, thought-provoking speakers, and engaging activities.
