Students pursuing the Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition specialization will develop fundamental expertise in human nutrition, biochemistry, molecular biology, metabolism, bioinformatics, cell biology, genetics, and human health. They'll also gain essential leadership skills for future roles as principal investigators and team leaders, including grant writing, personnel management, and media communication. This knowledge is imparted through advanced graduate research in faculty laboratories and coursework led by professors from various departments including Nutrition and Health Sciences, Agronomy, Animal Science, Biochemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Statistics, as well as the Schools of Biological Sciences and Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Research.
