The M.A. Program is designed to give students comprehensive mathematical training while allowing specialization in a chosen field. Graduates with an M.A. degree frequently pursue careers as instructors at community colleges, enter industry positions, or continue their studies in mathematics or related disciplines through PhD programs. Specialization options include Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Combinatorics & Optimization, Mathematics Education, and Topology. Applicants to the Master of Arts in Mathematics program should possess an undergraduate degree in mathematics or have completed comparable mathematics coursework.

Applicants for a Master's or a Ph.D. degree must have a Bachelor's degree by time of their enrollment. Note that a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics is not required though an extensive background in mathematics is expected.
For applicants whose native language is not English, the applicant must have a minimum TOEFL IBT (IBT Home Edition also accepted) 80, IELTS - 6.5
