The University of Montana's Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Policy oversees a unique interdisciplinary program focused on Natural Resource Conflict Resolution. This stands as the sole graduate program in the country explicitly crafted to equip students with both theoretical understanding and practical skills for preventing and settling disputes involving the balance of social, economic, and environmental concerns. Collaborative support comes from multiple UM entities including the Graduate School, School of Business Administration, W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation, School of Law, and College of Humanities and Sciences. The W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation manages the program, with leadership provided by the Center for Natural Resource and Environmental Policy.
