The Department provides four graduate certificate options: Public Policy, Public Administration, Nonprofit Administration, and Law with Public Policy and Public Administration. These certificate programs share identical coursework with the MPA curriculum. All credits earned in these certificate programs can be transferred toward the Master of Public Administration degree should a student choose to pursue it. Students must notify the MPA Director during their final certificate semester to initiate this transition. The Nonprofit Administration Certificate specifically caters to students aiming to build professional skills in nonprofit leadership.

Qualification Requirements

To be granted full admission, applicants must hold the equivalent of a U.S. baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Usually, transcripts will be evaluated by the Graduate School, however, in unusual circumstances, the University may require applicants to submit their credentials to an outside agency before an admission decision will be made. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit an acceptable English language proficiency test score. For applicants whose native language is not English, the applicant must have a minimum TOEFL IBT (IBT Home Edition also accepted) 80, IELTS - 6.5
