If you're enthusiastic about teaching and helping young children grow, while making a positive impact, consider pursuing early childhood education. Our NCATE-accredited bachelor's program provides 200 hours of hands-on experience with children prior to student teaching, equipping future educators for roles in public schools (preschool to 3rd grade), Head Start, and community early learning programs.
As a UM early childhood education student, you'll gain diverse classroom experiences, including at our on-campus Learning and Belonging Preschool. You'll be taught by veteran P-12 educators and receive personalized mentorship. The program also offers student teaching placements across Montana, other states, and abroad.
The University of Montana's early childhood education bachelor's degree holds accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
