Official transcripts from all universities attended
a. Applicants must have completed a baccalaureate in Computer Science or a related discipline before beginning
the master's program.
b. Transcripts must show the following coursework, or students must complete the work prior to starting their MS
degree:
i. C/C++ programming, object oriented programming (C++ or Java), data structures, computer
architecture/organization, algorithms design and analysis, command line interactions, Linux/Unix
concepts and scripting
ii. One semester of calculus, discrete mathematics, and probability/statistics.
c. Alternatively reference letters and/or a statement of purpose can address other sources of similar knowledge.
Students lacking some background may be admitted but will have to complete additional courses or otherwise
demonstrate proficiency.
Entrance examinations
a. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test is required only to apply for an assistantship
