Students can specialize their upper-level studies in areas like behavioral neuroscience, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, or health psychology/pre-med tracks.
After earning either a BA or BS in Psychology, graduates will possess integrated knowledge of psychological theories, research methods, and historical developments to anticipate behavioral patterns across specialties. They'll be able to describe scientific approaches to behavioral challenges and explain how psychological insights depend on critical analysis, evidence evaluation, and comfort with uncertainty. Graduates will assess appropriate psychological research methodologies including study design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation. They'll communicate effectively, demonstrate cultural competence regarding diversity and social justice issues, uphold ethical standards that strengthen communities, and exhibit professional development through personalized career planning based on honest self-evaluation of skills, accomplishments, motivations, and work behaviors.
