The Department provides an elective program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with a biochemistry focus. This program meets the American Chemical Society's certification standards.
Requirements for the B.S. in Chemistry with Biochemistry Concentration:
Unlike the standard B.S. program outlined previously, all students must complete Biochemistry Chemistry 4712. The following courses replace Chemistry 4343, Chemistry 3643, and Chemistry 4433:
Chemistry 4722 - Advanced Biochemistry (3 credits)
Chemistry 4733 - Biochemical Methods (2 credits)
