At UMSL, biology majors participate in dynamic coursework, laboratory investigations, and field studies.
Select between our Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Biology programs. Both degrees share core curriculum and general education components, with the BA emphasizing humanities and the BS offering deeper scientific exploration, lab work, communication training, and related science foundations.
Regardless of your chosen degree path, you can specialize in cell/molecular biology, ecology/evolution/conservation, or pre-professional/health sciences.
