The Mizzou Executive Master of Health Administration (MHA) program equips experienced professionals for top leadership roles in diverse healthcare environments. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, clinical specialists, and executives in finance, IT, and HR with a minimum of three years of clinical or administrative background.
Mizzou's Executive MHA features a unique curriculum blending monthly weekend campus sessions during academic terms, self-directed study, and online learning. This hybrid approach leverages the benefits of each teaching style, allowing working professionals to continue their careers while engaging with faculty and peers. Participants take three courses per semester across four terms and undertake a summer research project spanning two years.
The MHA core curriculum combines essential management principles with healthcare-specific applications. The Executive Program requires completion of 42 credit hours: twelve 3-hour core courses plus a 6-hour research project. Neither professional experience nor prior education can exempt students from these requirements.
