The Division of Biological Sciences provides two advanced degree options: a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Our graduate students form a vibrant community of dedicated scientists who push the boundaries of biological understanding while fostering scientific curiosity through teaching. These scholars serve as the foundation of our department, leading laboratory research and actively shaping both our instructional approaches and graduate curriculum.

Students pursuing the M.A. degree must finish all requirements within three (3) years, starting from their initial term of admission into the degree program.
