The Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering, along with the Department of Management in Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri, provides an interdisciplinary graduate Certificate in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM). This 12-credit-hour program includes:
A Supply Chain course from the Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department in the College of Engineering
A Supply Chain course from the Management Department in Trulaske College of Business
An Analytics elective
A Supply Chain/Operations elective.
These courses equip supply chain professionals with skills in operations management, analytics, procurement, logistics, distribution, transportation, IT, and decision sciences. Career opportunities span purchasing, production, supply chain planning, warehousing, import/export operations, sales, inventory control, and analytics.
In recent decades, SCM has become a fundamental discipline in business and industrial engineering education, integrating knowledge from operations management, strategic management, marketing, logistics, transportation, IT, and decision sciences. Completion requires 12 credit hours (6 required, 6 elective) with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
