The Department of Psychological Sciences provides a PhD program in Psychology with specializations in these key areas:

Clinical Psychology
Cognitive and Neural Science
Developmental Psychology
Quantitative Methods in Psychology
Social and Personality Psychology
Students obtain an MA in Psychology as part of their doctoral journey. Important: Our program doesn't admit applicants seeking only an MA. The MA is awarded within the initial three years before students progress toward their PhD.

Research forms the core of our graduate curriculum. Each student joins a dedicated research laboratory under faculty guidance. Coursework primarily addresses theoretical frameworks, statistical analysis, and empirical investigation. Original research is a fundamental requirement, with numerous students publishing in prestigious journals and some securing federal research grants.
