Here's an overview of the standard degree requirements; consult the Informatics Institute website for full information:
Required and area-specific courses must be completed.
A qualifying examination must be successfully passed.
At minimum, one institutional seminar presentation is required each year.
A comprehensive exam with both written and oral components must be finished within the designated period.
The comprehensive examination must be passed no later than 7 months prior to the planned defense date.
A dissertation demonstrating original informatics research must be submitted and defended.
To demonstrate research advancement, students should aim to present at conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals related to their informatics studies.
