The rehabilitation science focus equips students for graduate studies in areas like physical therapy, chiropractic care, orthotics/prosthetics, and related disciplines. This concentration also benefits undergraduates with relevant work experience seeking coaching roles in alternative community training programs.
The rehabilitation science track comprises 20 credit hours of core courses, general education, specialized emphasis requirements, and tailored electives aligned with each student's academic journey. The health science curriculum also mandates an internship relevant to career aspirations. Potential internship sites for rehabilitation science students include the Therapeutic Equine Center, MU Adaptive Gymnastics, MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Mizzou Therapy Services, and Wonderland Camp.
