The health science major's leadership and policy focus equips students for careers in healthcare administration, informatics, sales, and related fields. This concentration also provides strong preparation for advanced studies in healthcare management, informatics, public health, policy, or legal professions.
The leadership and policy track consists of 20 credit hours of core courses, general education requirements, specialized emphasis courses, and tailored electives aligned with each student's career path. The program also mandates an internship relevant to professional aspirations, with opportunities available in healthcare administration, consulting, clinical analysis, and strategic planning at organizations like RehabCare, Health Literacy Missouri, Institute for People, Place and Possibility, Tiger Institute, and Cerner Corporation.
