At MU, we view Exploring as beneficial for all students weighing multiple academic paths, not just those undecided on a major. This program serves as a hub for students evaluating options across different disciplines or colleges. Participants are formally enrolled in the Exploring major through the Discovery Center, receiving guidance from Discovery Center advisors (http://discoverycenter.missouri.edu) and MU Career Center professionals (http://career.missouri.edu), both situated in the Student Success Center.
Students in the Exploring program are advised to enroll in discovery courses like SSC 1150 Discover and/or SSC 2100, which help identify personal interests, values, and strengths to inform academic and career decisions.
